ARCHIVE STYLING Vol.26
Archive Fashion Newly Defined by Stylist Shotaro Yamaguchi
The hot days are still continuing, but on the calendar it’s already September. Fashion-lovers, we assume, are already on the move looking towards the Fall and Winter collections. The privilege of clothing in autumn and winter being, of course, the fact that you can enjoy multiple layers of clothing. Enjoying lots of layers is definitely a good thing, but if you could use a single piece of clothing in your layers in different ways, I think none of us would complain. This shirt, made by Demna Gvasaia at BALENCIAGA, is wearable both ways, with a beautiful blue and a checker pattern on either side, making if a very desirable item. You can create some great layers with just this as well, but if you combine this item with the knit sweaters from RAF SIMONS you can give your stylishness another layer! Just like the T-shirt, you can wear this piece in several different ways. By just wearing it around the neck like in the picture, you can express yourself elegantly, as if you were wearing a jabot (a decorative piece you wear on the chest from the hem) like the aristocrats. Even with only these two pieces, you can already see yourself enjoying layered clothing in this year’s winter season.
