Fashion trends just keep accelerating by the rise of Internet and social media. Printed T-shirts and hoodies with logos one season ago risk to fall behind this season. It’s precisely because we live in times like this that everyone has turned to the value of archives and are on the lookout for items unaffected by the vicissitudes of time. Moreover, of particular value among all archive items are leather items. The reason for that is not only that the sole weakness of archives – that is, that they easily deteriorate (or have already deteriorated) – doesn’t apply to leather items, but rather on the contrary, it’s possible to appreciate the timeworn qualities that are unique for leather. It’s unaffected by trends and doesn’t deteriorate; you should definitely at least have one set of leather archives in your closet. Martin Margiela’s leather jackets from the 00’s are what you should be looking out for. The 5 zip leather riders jacket is a masterpiece known by everyone, but there are also many other wonderful jackets hidden in Martin Margiela. This is also one of them. If you’re going to wear one now, we suggest wearing a size that isn’t oversized nor too tight. By daringly matching it with a trench coat as innerwear gives you a modern impression.
