COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS’s 1999A/W collection was themed ‘Souvenir Kitsch’. On the runway we saw models walking with a scarf completely covering their head or using a stole like a Hawaiian lei to cover their necks; the whole collection focused on the ‘kitsch’ theme. We especially want to show you some of the later looks. This one, which took the finale with items decorated with tartan check patterns, like this luxuriously designed blouson and skirt, both made from antique scarf material, are still known as masterpieces twenty years after appearing on the runway.
