Jacket : BALENCIAGA (2017A/W)
Vest : A-COLD-WALL (2018A/W)
Hoodie : A-COLD-WALL (2018S/S)
Pants : RAF SIMONS (2014A/W)

Here we have a styling that represents our current mood: Demna Gvasalia’s 2017 A/W BALENCIAGA oversized jacket, layered with a vest and hoodie by a London brand that launched in 2015 A-COLD-WALL*, and cotton pants from 2014 A/W RAF SIMONS. They are recent items that can barely be called archives. However, in 20 or 30 years from now, they may be remembered like “ BALENCIAGA from Demna’s tenure” and “A-COLD-WALL* from its early days”, similar to how we say things like “Margiela’s HERMES” and “the early NUMBER (N)INE”. Another way to appreciate fashion is to look at recently released items in the same perspective we use to look at archived items.

From 2005, Takahashi studied under Haruhisa Shirayama, and eventually began his own career as an independent stylist from 2008. Currently belongs to Office Shirayama.
Takahashi’s original styling is highly acclaimed in and outside of Japan, and his work ranges widely from magazines, catalogs, and the Paris Collection. In 2017 A/W, he also launched his own brand R.M GANG.
